AhlulBayt News Agency: Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, on Sunday, at the press conference of the international conference on Centenary of Qom Seminary, which was held in the garden of the Malek National Museum, explained the conference programs and some of the achievements of the Qom Seminary in the last 100 years and stated,” The seminary has always been considered as a science-oriented and service-oriented institution, and has been and will be in the service of science and thought, culture, society and people with an international audience; then the seminary will be one that preserves these elements and continues on this path.”
The Head of Iran’s seminaries added,” Fundamental knowledge is one of the most important components of the seminary, and great scientists have emerged in this institution. In the past, all sciences and knowledge were studies in the seminary, since rational, traditional, and natural sciences were taught and researched in the seminary, but after the separation and specialization of sciences, these fields were separated.”
A member of the Supreme Council of the Seminaries noted,” The second component of the seminary includes ethics and practical wisdom and long-standing moral and religious traditions in various fields. Our elders have taken the lead in the field of scientific wisdom in more than a thousand years of history, and great figures have emerged in the seminary.”
