AhlulBayt News Agency: The text of the message of Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, the Head of Islamic seminaries, on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Professor Ayatollah Motahari (RA) and Teacher's Day is as follows:
In the name of Allah
Knowledge is the best quality of a human being and learning is the best work from the perspective of Islam, and teachers are the successors of the prophets.
On May 2, the anniversary of the martyrdom of the distinguished professor martyr Ayatollah Morteza Motahari (RA), and Teacher's Day, I extend my congratulations and best wishes to the esteemed community of educators, teachers, and professors of seminaries and universities.
The result of the efforts and struggles of Iranian teachers and professors is that in terms of science production, the Islamic Republic of Iran ranked 50th among other countries in the world in the first year of the victory of the Islamic Revolution (1980). In the last twenty years, it has risen from 34th in 2005 to 17th in 2024. The achievement of these honors is due to the efforts of these mujahideen in the field of science.
Also, the task of educating the future generation and creating a realistic view of life and civilization in the future generation of Iran lies in the hands of the esteemed teachers and professors.
The respected professors of the seminaries, along with the vast number of university professors and teachers, and under the guidance of the great authorities, are valuable assets who, with their knowledge and insight, piety and patience, asceticism and advice, generosity and contentment, love and sincerity, educate the students and scholars of the seminaries, and by educating worthy students, they contribute to the excellence of thought, culture, religion and ethics in Iran and the world. We are all indebted to our proud professors and teachers and are grateful for their noble efforts.
