AhlulBayt News Agency: A pro-Palestine Jewish woman holding an Israeli passport was violently attacked by a group of Zionist extremists outside a well-known synagogue in Brooklyn, New York. The incident occurred amid heightened tensions sparked by the visit of far-right Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, which led to protests and violent clashes.

According to PressTV, the woman shared on Instagram that she is Jewish, holds an Israeli passport, and was wearing a keffiyeh on Thursday night near the Chabad-Lubavitch World Headquarters in Crown Heights, where Ben-Gvir delivered a speech. She recounted being assaulted by a mob of primarily Orthodox Jewish counter-protesters, leaving her bloodied and with a head wound requiring medical treatment.

In her post, the woman remarked sarcastically, “The only thing that gives me some joy is that while all the zios were celebrating and laughing at me, [I’m] over here thinking: y’all hit a Jew [with] a damn Israeli passport! Great job.”

The violence erupted during a rally by pro-Palestine demonstrators against Ben-Gvir’s visit, which led to clashes with counter-protesters and the arrest of six individuals. Another woman was also reportedly assaulted by the pro-Israel mob during the altercation.

According to local US media, video footage captured a keffiyeh-wearing protester being escorted away with blood on her face following confrontations between anti-Israel demonstrators and Jewish residents of Crown Heights, triggered by Ben-Gvir’s speech at the synagogue. Reports also mentioned an anti-Israel protester interrupting the event, chanting “Free Palestine” before being removed by security.

In addition to the events in New York, hundreds of pro-Palestine activists staged a demonstration in New Haven, Connecticut, after the Israeli minister attended an event near Yale University.

Over the past year, universities and academic institutions across the United States and Europe have witnessed extensive protests against Israel’s assault on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023, devastating the besieged Palestinian territory.
