AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Women’s Panel of the 6th International Al-Quds Congress, “Hasten to Al-Quds”, was organized by the International Affairs Department of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in collaboration with the Qadimon International Assembly.
During the opening of the panel, participants were welcomed, and prayers were offered for the acceptance of worship in the holy month of Ramadan. Hojat al-Islam Mohammad Ali Moiniyan, the Deputy for International Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, conveyed the greetings of Ayatollah Ramezani, the Secretary-General of the Assembly.
Quds: The World’s Most Important Issue
Highlighting the crucial role of women in today’s society, he stated, “Without a doubt, the issue of Quds is the most important global concern today, and the Supreme Leader has repeatedly emphasized its significance in his discourse.”
Moiniyan further stressed, “There is no question that the role of women, particularly Muslim women, in Islamic society and the world at large, is highly significant and influential. We must strive to highlight this vital role and pay greater attention to its various dimensions.”
The Status of Women in Islam
Underscoring the Islamic perspective on women, the Deputy for International Affairs of the Assembly stated, “A true Muslim woman, from the standpoint of Islam, is one who is deeply committed to both her family and society. Women hold a multifaceted status in the Islamic system. Some believe that Islam confines women to the household, restricting their role to domestic responsibilities such as raising children and managing the home. However, it is beyond these two roles. The position of women in Islam is one of immense value, great dignity, and profound influence.”
He added, “Women are the nurturers of humanity. All prophets, saints, and divine successors were raised in the care of women. Therefore, the role of women as educators in society is paramount. Women can be influential in all academic, cultural, educational, political, and social fields, and possess specialized expertise in these domains.”
Lady Zaynab (a.s.): A Reflection of Infallibility
Hojat al-Islam Moiniyan also referenced prominent female figures in Islamic history, stating, “Undoubtedly, the greatest role model is the luminous personality of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (a.s.), whose existence was the reason of the creation of the entire universe, the Prophet (p.b.u.h), and Imam Ali (a.s.). This is the exalted rank that God bestowed upon a woman.”
He continued, “Lady Fatimah (a.s.) was the only woman to whom divine revelation was sent. In the hadiths of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) and historical sources, there is no record of any of our infallible Imams (a.s.) receiving revelation. They were recipients of divine inspiration, but after the Prophet (p.b.u.h), the only person visited by the Angel Gabriel with divine messages was Lady Fatimah (a.s.). This is the unparalleled rank and status of this great woman.”
Emphasizing Lady Zaynab’s (a.s.) unparalleled spiritual status, Hojat al-Islam Moiniyan stated, “Lady Zaynab (a.s.) was a reflection of infallibility. If we were to conceive a rank just below infallibility, this noble woman had reached that level, only one step away from infallibility. While even that step is not a small distance, she attained the highest possible human rank that a non-infallible person could reach.”
Referring to her pivotal role of Lady Zaynab (a.s.) after the tragedy of Ashura, he continued, “Lady Zaynab’s (a.s.) unwavering efforts in defending the oppressed and speaking the truth shattered the arrogance of Yazid and his followers, crushing the tyrants beneath her resolute stance.”
Muslim Women Must Take Up the Mission of Clarification
The Deputy for International Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stressed the duty of Muslim women in today’s world. “Muslim women must take inspiration from Lady Fatimah (a.s.), Lady Zaynab (a.s.), and other great women in Islam, following the teachings of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) in their pursuit of knowledge and correct understanding. One of the foremost obligations upon everyone today is the ‘Jihad of Clarification’.”
He further explained, “Today, the arrogant powers of the world stand as the embodiment of falsehood, while Islam, centered around the Islamic Republic of Iran, represents the essence of truth and reality. Anyone who wishes to stand on the path of righteousness must defend the truth and align himself with the Resistance movement. If one recognizes the truth but remains silent, he will inevitably be counted among the oppressors and the forces of disbelief. Their rank and degree of wrongdoing may vary, but silence holds no place in this struggle.”
Moiniyan pointed to the deep-rooted presence of resistance in Iran’s revolutionary discourse, stating, “The culture and language of resistance are clearly visible in the Islamic Revolution of Iran and in the doctrine of the Supreme Leader.”
Addressing the foreign female activists, he remarked, “All of you surely follow the statements of the Supreme Leader. We must pay special attention to his words, for he speaks with wisdom, knowledge, and deep insight. These wise statements should not be overlooked; rather, they must be carefully listened to and internalized so that we recognize our responsibilities and act upon them.”
Where Are the Defenders of the Oppressed’s Rights?
The Deputy for International Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “The people of Palestine and Gaza are recognized as the greatest example of the oppressed and downtrodden people in the world. For years, limitless oppression and injustice have been inflicted upon these helpless people, but where are the defenders of human rights? Where are the advocates for the rights of the oppressed? Where are they when an animal dies somewhere in the world, making noise, issuing statements, and causing an uproar? Yet, thousands of men, women, the elderly, the youth, and children, with no crime, sin, or guilt, are martyred, and no voice is raised in protest.”
He continued, “Against the Resistance Axis, an imperialistic force seeks to eliminate the oppressed. However, this is a divine promise that the oppression of the oppressor will never endure. The oppressor can never continue his tyranny forever. Certainly, oppression and the oppressor are doomed to destruction.”
Moiniyan emphasized the need for efforts to expose the truth to the people of the world, saying, “Today, the media of imperialism, the media affiliated with the tyrants of our time, the U.S., Israel, Britain, and their puppets, are doing everything they can to censor the events and realities of the world. They do not show the truth of what is happening but rather convey what they want the world to believe. It is our duty to reveal the truths, using the proper language and correct discourse, to the oppressed people of the world. This is one of the responsibilities of women. The oppression of the people of Gaza must be communicated to the world. The crimes, atrocities, and extreme savagery of the illegitimate Zionist regime must be brought to the attention of the global community.”
Concluding his remarks, Moiniyan stated, “The Jihad of Clarification is indeed the great Jihad, and it is a divine duty for all. Women also have a duty to convey their support in various ways, using their speech through the virtual space, ensuring that their voices are heard by the world.”
