AhlulBayt News Agency: The Yemeni armed forces have targeted the USS Harry S. Truman and a number of U.S. warships in the Red Sea as well as the Israeli regime’s military positions in Jaffa, northern occupied Palestine.
In a statement early on Wednesday, the Yemeni armed forces said its missile, drone, and naval forces struck the targets in response to U.S. attacks against the Arab country and on the 10th anniversary of the Yemeni National Resistance on March 26.
In line with defending the rights of the Palestinian people in Gaza and to continue supporting them, the Yemeni drone unit targeted the Israeli military positions in the occupied Jaffa, the statement read.
It stressed continued confrontation with U.S. aggression, preventing the Israeli vessels, and conducting operations against the Israeli enemy until the end of the blockade in Gaza.
The operation came after U.S. warplanes targeted the northern Yemeni province of Sa’ada.
The strike left a number of civilians injured, Sa’ada’s Human Rights Office said, without specifying.
Earlier, secretary of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, Yasser al-Houri, had renewed his country’s position on supporting the Palestinian people and their just cause until they reclaim all their legitimate rights.
“The Yemeni nation and armed forces consider defending Palestine as defending themselves and the Islamic Ummah,” Houri said in an exclusive interview with IRNA.
