Washington: Yemenis have imposed heavy costs on us, block passage for U.S.-flagged ships

The US National Security Advisor announced that attacks by Yemen's armed forces have forced ships to take costly detours.

Ahlulbayt News Agency: The US National Security Advisor announced that attacks by Yemen's armed forces have forced ships to take costly detours.

The continuation of Zionist attacks against the defenseless people of Palestine has prompted Yemen's armed forces once again to target ships affiliated with the Zionist regime in their waters. This situation has imposed heavy costs on Tel Aviv and its closest ally, the United States.

In this regard, Mike Waltz, the US National Security Advisor, announced: Attacks by Yemen’s Ansarullah movement have caused three-quarters of the ships flying the American flag to avoid passing through the Red Sea and instead choose the longer and more expensive route around southern Africa.

Waltz told CBS News that 75% of ships flying the American flag are now being forced to bypass the Suez Canal and pass via the southern coasts of Africa.

He added: The last time one of our destroyers passed through the straits near Yemen, it was attacked 23 times.
