AhlulBayt News Agency: An official with the Iraqi resistance movement Al-Nujaba dismissed the idea of negotiations on disarming resistance groups.
Sheikh Ali al-Assadi, the head of an-Nujaba’s political council, described such negotiations as a non-starter.
Speaking to al-Sumaria News, he said, “So far, no one has spoken to us about disarming the resistance groups, and of course, no one has the right to do so because as long as the occupying enemy (the US) is present in our country, we cannot lay down our arms.”
He also said everyone is afraid of Donald Trump, who was sworn in as US president on Monday, but the resistance has no fear of him because “Trump cannot commit more crimes than Biden”.
Elsewhere in his remarks, al-Assadi said that during the Gaza war, the axis of resistance fought the world powers but the Israeli regime and its allies failed to reach their goals, which means the resistance emerged victorious in the war.
As for the fall of the government of Bashar al-Assad in Syria, he said Assad was deceived by the promises of Arab regimes and prevented resistance forces to intervene.
He also said the holy shrine of Hazrat Zeynab (SA) in Syria is safe as the new rulers in Syria have been informed by Shia figures that it is a red line.
