The ceremony of installing the new covering was attended by of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (P) holy shrine; His Eminence Sayed Ahmad al-Safi, the head of the Shiite endowment office; Dr. Haider al-Shammari, the secretary general of the holy shrine, board members and heads of departments, as well as the governor of Holy Karbala and a group of believers.
Extensive preparations have been underway for weeks for the installation of the new covering for the mausoleum of Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), after three years of efforts to make precious stones and pieces in Egypt, Syria, France and Kuwait.
The new covering is decorated with (16) gold pillars bearing the titles of Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) on each side of four corners, as well as there are decorations in form of waterfalls in the palm of al-Abbas (peace be upon him) on the four sides of gold and pearls, and his honorable titles are inscribed on the Najafi quartz stones, which adorns the Burdah on the side of the holy head and the foot.
The gold and silver designs found in the covering of the mausoleum of Master Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) are considered a qualitative leap that is different from the previous work, in terms of durability, the amount of gold used and the designs that are technically updated.
The new covering was donated by the committee of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) from Kuwait, which specializes in making decorative covering for the holy shrines.
