Pres. Raisi: I appreciate hard work of medical staff to protect people's lives

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi received the first dose of Iranian COVID-19 vaccine this Sunday afternoon at a medical centre.

After receiving the COVIran Barekat vaccine, the President thanked the medical staff for their efforts to protect the lives of the people and said, "I call on all vaccine manufacturers in the country to do their utmost to accelerate the production of vaccines".

Dr Raisi added, "I have emphasised to the relevant officials in the meeting of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus, and I repeat here that they should do their best for the public vaccination before the arrival of the cold season".

Ayatollah Raisi continued, "Public vaccination is an unavoidable necessity and one of the priorities of the government so that we can increase the public resistance of the people against this virus and its possible mutations".

The president said, "We will use as much as possible of the domestic vaccine, and import whatever we need".

Ayatollah Raisi continued by stating that, unfortunately, the reports received about the statistics of patients and victims of COVID-19 are worrying, adding, "People must strictly follow the health protocols and the relevant officials should try to meet the requirements and the full implementation of these instructions".
