AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Saudi warplanes launched several air strikes on a number of military sites on Socotra Island, local news stated Saturday.
According to YPA, local sources on the island said that Saudi warplanes targeted a number of military sites in the Meroe region, Al-Shawata camp and the Nojd camp, which are affiliated with the Emirati-backed Southern Transitional council (STC).
The sources confirmed that the Saudi warplanes targeted these sites after opening the sound barrier and launching light bombs in other areas of the island.
The governor of Socotra Ramzi Mahrous, a pro-Islah, had given the STC militia 12 hours to hand over the headquarters of the 1st Marine Brigade, after taking control of it last weekend.
