(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Former Afghan President Hamid Karzai said on Monday that late Ayatollah Rafsanjani was a freedom seeker who spared his life in struggle.
In the message on his Twitter page, Karzai said late Ayatollah Rafsanjani played significant role in establishing the Islamic Republic of Iran and assumed a very positive role to that end and his brilliant record of activities will remain for ever in history.
He also expressed his condolences and sympathy to the Iranian government and nation as well as his bereaved family.
Ayatollah Rafsanjani, 82, died of a cardiac arrest Sunday evening.
