A renewed wave of sectarian arrests in Al-Ahsa, Saudi extremist authorities arrested on Wednesday two young Shias in the pretext of participating in the religious ceremony.
The residents said: Saudi forces arrested the two young men, Sayed Taher Al-Hashem (38 years) and Mr. Sayed Ibrahim al-Hashim (19 years) from the town of Rumaila.
The first arrest was in the pretext of participating in the mourning ceremony in the village to mark the Ashura on last January, while the other Shia was arrested on charges of fixing the religious banners on Ashoura on the same occasion.
A few days ago Saudi authorities arrest 5 Shias because of participating in a religious ceremony for Imam Hussain (a.s).The detainees transferred to al-Ahsa General Prison.
"The recent campaign of arrests in Al-Ahsa against Shias is increasing. Saudi forces limit Shias to participate in religious ceremonies, they close mosques and religious places to prevent Shias for praying or other religious ceremonies" Shia inhabitants in al-Ahsa said.
In the last five years, Al-Ahsa was seen a series of Shiite arrests led by the governor of the region and closed dozens of mosques, schools and religious councils.
