AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps hailed the fighters of Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement for their Ashura-style confrontation with the Zionist regime.
Speaking in a meeting with the families of a number of those killed in Israeli attacks on Lebanon, Major General Hossein Salami said the people of Lebanon are steadfast in standing against the Israeli regime.
Victory certainly belongs to the Lebanese nation, he stressed.
He also commended the strength and faith of the martyrs’ family members.
The senior commander cited Verse 78 of the Quran’s Surah Hajj, “Strive steadfastly for the Cause of God. He has chosen you…,” and said martyrs have been chosen by God and Jihad and martyrdom are God’s choice for selected people.
He also said that the self-sacrifices of the families of martyrs can be considered even greater than those of the martyrs themselves.
It is because when a fighter is martyred, he achieves his wish, but the family members of martyrs sacrifice their wishes, Major General Salami stated.
