Third Qadr Night ritual held in Imam Reza holy shrine

Observing all health protocols related to the coronavirus pandemic, a large number of Iranian and foreign pilgrims at Imam Reza holy shrine perform the third Qadr Night ritual on the 23rd night of the holy month of Ramadan on Sunday.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Observing all health protocols related to the coronavirus pandemic, a large number of Iranian and foreign pilgrims at Imam Reza holy shrine perform the third Qadr Night ritual on the 23rd night of the holy month of Ramadan on Sunday.

Third Qadr Night ceremony begins with slow recitation of the holy Quran verses by Javad Panahi, Ehsan Mohammadi, and Hamed Hosseini. The ceremony continues with Joshan-e Kabir supplication to be performed by Mahmoud Karimi. The main part of the program is led by Hoj Masoud Aali.

Like last two Qadr Night ceremonies, health facilities including distribution of masks and disinfection of courtyards will be increased during third and last Qadr Night; monitoring of the protocols is also intensified by increasing number of health servants of the holy shrine.

Courtyards and open spaces of the holy shrine are main places for the ceremony and Razavi servants do their best to fully observe health protocols.

Also, officials of the Office for Foreign Pilgrims’ Affairs holds special ceremonies for Ramadan foreign pilgrims of Imam Reza shrine in Arabic, Urdu, and Azeri languages.

The nineteenth, twenty-first and twenty-third nights of the holy month of Ramadan mark the nights of Qadr (nights of destiny), and Muslims seek refuge with their God through staying up, reciting Quran, praying, and reciting the prayer of the Joshan-e Kabir.
