AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): In a ceremony attended by Shia and Sunni luminaries former secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought has officially left the office for the new religious figure to direct the major Islamic unity center on Wednesday.
Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, head of the Supreme Council at the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in this ceremony held in the capital Tehran related on the establishment and activities of the unity center.
He referred to background of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought as an initiation of the Supreme Leader and also demand for maintaining its activities in line with the path of Egypt’s Dar al-Taqrib.
Senior cleric hailed the efforts of Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, former secretary general of the world forum both in the international arena and at home.
Ayatollah Taskhiri also briefly noted the educational and professional background of the new secretary general Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari expressing hope for the scholar as the director of the major Islamic unity center, World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
