AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Omani foreign minister Yusuf bin Alawi who is visiting Tehran met with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif on Monday.
This is the third time that bin Alawi visiting Tehran in the past 9 months.
Omani foreign minister is in Tehran to discuss bilateral, regional and international affairs including Iran’s Hormuz Peace Endeavor (HOPE) with senior officials in Tehran.
The HOPE Initiative was proposed by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at the annual meeting of the UN General Assembly this year.
The initiative aims to promote peace, stability, progress, and prosperity of littoral states and help achieve mutual understanding and establish peaceful and friendly relations among the neighbors.
Yusuf bin Alawi also met parliament Speaker Ali Larijani hours ago.
