AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ayatollah Sa’idi referred to the emphasis of the Ahl al-Bayt on unity among Muslims and said, “The culture of unity between Sunnis and Shi’ahs must be transformed into a common culture.”
In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers at Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi referred to the emphasis of the Ahl al-Bayt on unity among Muslims and said, “The culture of unity between Sunnis and Shi’ahs must be transformed into a common culture. Participation in congregational prayers, attending funerals, visiting the ill and observing the rights of the Sunnis is the advice of Imam Hasan al-Askari to the Shi’ahs in regard to Muslim unity.”
The custodian of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah added, “In this regard, we must not have extremes, but we must perform religious commandments properly, we don’t have a Shi’ah and Sunni mosques – the mosque is the ‘house of God’ and everyone must enjoin in prayers in these mosques.”
He considered the observance of divine red lines to be attributes of pure Islam Muhammadan Islam and said, “Imam al-Askari emphasized that if Shi’ahs are truthful, religious, committed to wilayah (guardianship) and have good morals in dealing with others, it will increase the popularity of our position among others.”
Ayatollah Sa’idi continued, “Imam al-Askari also stated that being Godwary and adorning the Ahl al-Bayt rather than doing anything to diminish their position in society leads to the maximum attraction and minimal repulsion of the policies of the Ahl al-Bayt among others.”
The representative of the Supreme Leader in Qom said, “The Islamic ummah must pay attention to the message of the Ahl al-Bayt because striving to fulfill the commandments of these nobles is respect to the Prophet [Muhammad]. Today, the enemies of the Prophet of God, with the pretext of being hostile to the Shi’ahs, are hostile to the Ahl al-Bayt which is one of the great atrocities of these deviants. The love of the Ahl al-Bayt is a consensual issue among all Muslims.”
He said, “We must execute the enlightened commands of the Ahl al-Bayt and turn familiarity with the Quran into public culture in society. The slogan of faith and the slogan of the unity of the Islamic ummah which removes the roots of hypocrisy and spite and connects the hearts of Muslims is salawat (salutations) on Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad.”
Ayatollah Sa’idi commemorated the memory of the martyrs of Iran’s nuclear program and honoured the efforts of the young and revolutionary scientists and also thanked the government and the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran for taking the fourth step to reduce its nuclear commitments.”
His Eminence also referred to the recent earthquake in East Azerbaijan province and the deaths and injuries of a number of dear compatriots and emphasized that the officials must try to solve the problems of the earthquake victims and take away the grief of the people. The people and officials must be work together and manage the issue so that work is accomplished with precision.”
