AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Bahraini detainee Khalil al-Saffar has reportedly gone on hunger strike over his lack of access to health care services.
Local activist Ebtisam al-Saegh is reporting that Al-Saffar has been on hunger strike since last Sunday.
Al-Saegh accused prison authorities of medical negligence and claims Al-Saffar is not being given desperately needed medical treatment for severe head pains.
In recent years, a number of international rights groups have repeatedly accused Bahraini prison authorities of blatant disregard for the health of detainees.
