AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Israeli forces opened fire towards Palestinian farmers and fishing boats, on Saturday, across the besieged Gaza Strip.
A Ma'an reporter said that Israeli forces deployed behind the Israeli border fence opened fire towards Palestinian farmers working in their lands in eastern Gaza City.
Farmers were forced to flee their lands.
Meanwhile, Israeli naval forces opened fire targeting Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of Beit Lahiya in the northern Gaza Strip.
No injuries were reported in neither of the incidents.
Additionally, witnesses told Ma'an that an Israeli military vehicle caught on fire in eastern al-Breij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip; causes of the fire were not immediately identified.
The Israeli army also regularly detains and opens fire on unarmed Palestinian fishermen, shepherds, and farmers along the border areas if they approach the buffer zone, as the authorities have not made clear the precise area of the designated zone.
The practice has in effect destroyed much of the agricultural and fishing sector of the blockaded coastal enclave, which has been under an Israeli air, land, and sea blockade for nearly 12 years.
