24 million Yemenis need urgent help: WHO

The World Health Organization (WHO) warned that Yemen is "experiencing the worst humanitarian crisis in the world" and that the situation is getting worse year by year.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The World Health Organization (WHO) warned that Yemen is "experiencing the worst humanitarian crisis in the world" and that the situation is getting worse year by year.

The organization said that by the end of 2018, 10 percent more than the previous year, "more than 24 million Yemenis, representing 80 percent of the total population, are in dire need of humanitarian assistance."

WHO has said earlier that 45 percent of health facilities in Yemen are out of service, 16.6 million people are lack water and sanitation services, 16.4 million lack access to adequate health care and 17.8 million people suffer from food insecurity.
