(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Prime Minister of Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government Nechirvan Barzani condemned terrorist groups’ attack on neighboring states from the region.
Speaking at a news conference, he added that Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) officials do not agree to use of the region for launching attacks on regional countries.
He also noted that Turkey’s move to launch military operations in KRG region is their reaction to terrorist groups’ use of the region for attacking Iran and Turkey.
“We have on several occasions called on the groups to avoid doing such things,” he said.
“We are very worried about harming KRG people as a result of military operations,” he said.
Over the past months, certain terrorist groups used Iraqi Kurdistan to carry out terrorist operations in Iran and Turkey, drawing official protest from Iranian and Turkish officials.
