Sham-e Ghariban ritual of Imam Reza martyrdom held at Razavi Shrine

This ceremony was started coincident with evening and night prayers in central organization of Astan Quds Razavi and after collective prayers of evening and night in Razavi Holy Shrine’s Inqīlāb Courtyard. This ceremony was participated by Razavi pilgrims and citizens.

While carrying bright candles, servants, shoe keepers, guardians, and janitors of the Razavi Holy Shrine walked down Shirazi Street from Shohada crossroad up to Razavi Holy Shrine. They passed the street within mourning groups and chanted “Reza’s (A.S.) loneliness in darkness arrives and all the universe is mournful now”. Mourning groups of servants were accompanied by people.

After that, servants of Razavi illuminated shrine and mournful people attended Razavi Holy Shrine’s Inqīlāb Courtyard. These group of servants and common people had their mourning and eulogy recitations and paid their tribute to this gracious Imam (A.S.)”.
