After greeting the attendants, Sayyed Mahdi Hosseini briefed on Al-Mustafa Open University as a scientific and cultural institute. He said that the university was established to benefit from technology in cyberspace in order to teach and spread Islamic science, culture and doctrine.
“we are proud of providing Facilities for teaching Islam in cyberspace with the purpose of spreading the word of Islam throughout the world and even to the most remote corners of the world. This capacity which has be provided to us thanks to cyberspace has been used perfectly to achieve the aforementioned goals”, he said.
“currently we are running different courses in different levels at Al-Mustafa Open University. Besides humanities and Islamic studies which constitute different courses, we also teach Farsi to applicants to provide them with an understanding of the cultural aspect of Iran.” He stressed.
In the end of his speech, Sayyed Mahdi Hosseini stated that Al-Mustafa Open University has had applicants from 90 different countries over the past ten years and the courses have been presented in 7 languages.
It is noteworthy that the two-day conference will end on Friday with international scholars delivering speeches and presenting their papers.
