Capt. Ahmad al-Obeidi from Nineveh police said that the Nineveh police intelligence agency arrested yesterday evening seven more lawyers who had cooperated with ISIS and provided the militants with assistance in their terrorist attacks.” They had also provided the terrorist organization with information about the citizens who were anti-ISIS and refused to cooperate with it.
He noted that the lawyers used to work in the courts of appeal and crimes, and they were arrested in their offices and homes in accordance with the arrest warrant issued by the court.
The lawyers were taken to Nineveh's intelligence headquarters to investigate their involvement in the ISIS crimes against the citizens during the terrorist organization's control over Mosul, said al-Obeidi.
Nineveh police also arrested eight other lawyers on the same charges last Wednesday.
