Iraqi al-Sumanria news reported today that a group of ISIS militants cordoned off Abu Qutaiba’s house in Tal Afar (west of Mosul) and took him to an unknown destination.
During his Friday sermon, Abu Qutaiba, a close figure to Baghdadi, had indirectly and in tears admitted that ISIS leader had died. Reportedly, after mentioning Baghdadi’s name, Abu Qautaiba cried and then kept silent. His words also suggested that Baghdadi is dead.
ISIs has not confirmed or refuted Russain’s claim about Baghdad’s death. Russia announced recently that Baghdadi was killed in an air raid in May in Raqqa of Syria.
