Ahlul Bayt News Agency - The activities of the 13th Conference of Palestinians in Europe were lunched in Berlin on Saturday. The conference witnessed a large-scale participation of the Palestinian community in Europe along with official attendance of the European MPs and Arab politicians.
The activities included art galleries representing the suffering of Palestinian refugees in diaspora especially in Yarmouk refugee camp in Syria.
On Friday, the conference hosted a festival in which about three hundreds of the guests were invited including European MPs from Britain and Germany in particular as well as Arab political figures.
In his speech, the president of the conference Majid al-Zeer hailed the Palestinian, Arab and international participation, and said the conference has turned into a Palestinian pilgrimage season for thousands of Palestinian refugees who insist on their right of return.
President of the Palestinian National Initiative Mustafa Barghouti, who attended the conference, said, “The Palestinians in diaspora in general and in Europe in particular have the potentials to serve the Palestinian question and to introduce it to the world which is the significance of this conference”.
The Conference of Palestinians in Europe held the first of its sessions in London in 2002. It roamed the European continent with the last one held in Paris. It has become a key political and media topic on both western and Arabic levels.
