Ahlul Bayt News Agency - Deputy secretary general Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan (biggest Shia religious-political party) and member Islamic ideology council Pakistan Allama Muhammad Ameen Shahidi has arrived in Gilgit on his three-day visit from Skardu. Workers and leaders of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Gilgit welcome him on Aalim Bridge.
Talking to workers in Wahdat House Gilgit, Allama Ameen Shahidi said that we will not allow hijacking Gilgit-Baltistan elections. Federal rulers of every era allure people who are deprived of their constitutional rights from 67 years, but now people of Gilgit-Baltistan are mature and awake and will not allow anyone to usurp their rights.
People will not allow rigging in coming elections of Gilgit-Baltistan and if people rights are stolen then it will have horrible consequences. Muslim League (N) is victimizing leaders and workers of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen, if this is continued then we are forced to protest in all over the country including Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said that people of Gilgit-Baltistan are sincere sons of this country and they are natural defense of this country. But unfortunately, these people have no value in the eyes of federal rulers and they are not ready to give rights even equal to third-class citizen.
Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen will not step back in his fight of getting legitimate constitutional and basic human rights of people of Gilgit-Baltistan instead will play the role of vanguard. He said that few parties are busy in making failed attempts of alluring people to get into rule and asking for votes in return of false promises but wise people of this region will not fall in their trap and this time they will take revenge with their votes from political conjures who wasted their well-earned money in their merry making.
