In a twitter account attributed to Baghdadi, the ISIL leader said that his group will attack Kuwait to allegedly open war on the US, as Kuwait hosts a US base.
"We want to settle accounts with the US and therefore, since we cannot go to the US, we will force the US to confront us by attacking Kuwait," Baghdadi said in his tweet message written in Arabic language.
It is not still clear if the twitter account which has over 6,000 followers really belongs to Al-Baghdadi.
Military and political analysts believe that the ISIL, similar to Al-Qaeda terrorist group, has been created by the US and its allies in the region to advance its goals, including blocking Iran's growing clout in the region. Saudi Arabia and Qatar, two main US allies in the region, have repeatedly stressed their financial and logistic backup for the ISIL.
Since its creation, the ISIL has been fighting three of Iran's allies in the region, first Syria, then the Lebanese Shiite Hezbollah Movement, and later the Nouri Al-Maliki's Shiite government in Iraq.
The ISIL terrorists launched their offensive in Iraq by seizing the North's main city, Mosul, in June and have swept through the Tigris river valley, North of Baghdad. They have boasted of massacring hundreds of troops and civilians, including women and children, captured in their advance.
The terrorists have been joined by other factions, including former members of ousted dictator Saddam Hussein's Baath Party.
