(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Muslims commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hasan al-Askari "peace be upon him", in the city of Samarra district, in Salah al-Din province.
The reporter of Alforat News Agency said" Aimed tight security measures, the Muslims flocked since last night toward, holy Shrines of Ali al-Hadi ,and Hassan al-Askari" peace be upon them" in Samarra district, to perform the pilgrimage."
"The service processions ,and marquee solace were spread along the way toward the Shrines of the Imams, Imam al-Hadi ,and Imam al-Askari, the reporter assured.
Imam Al-Askari is the 11th Imam of Ahlulbait "peace be upon him", as he is the father of the Awaited Saviour Imam al-Mahdi. He got his title (Askari from ) a military area , where he stayed in it for most of his life near Baghdad city.
Imam Hassan al-Askari, has been poisoned by Abbasid caliph Muatamed ,on Rabi' ul Awwal of 260 AH.
