(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Having finished writing a research book on religious cinema and history of law in Iran, Almasi said there are very few research works on religious cinema in Iran and still a lot needs to be done in this regard. Speaking with IBNA, he said that he has been engaged with a research work on religious cinema for a while. Besides he has considered legal matters in Iran’s history prior to Islam and has completed some research works on it. He asserted that in Europe and the US a lot has been done regarding the subject of Christianity and Judaism in cinema. He further added that in the world they adhere to religion to check ugly human instinct. “A lot is being done in the world regarding cinema and its contact with religion. In Iran, also, there are many published translations and a few compilations as well.” He stated that an adaptive study on western views on religious matters in cinema and Islamic views in this regard can be run by researchers to fill a part of the gap in this regard.End item/ 149
