(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in his address to a large crowd in the holy shrine of the eighth Shiite Imam Reza (PBUH) in the northern city of Mashhad in Khorasan Razavi province.
Daily ‘The Nation’ reported that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said that Iran will “annihilate” the Zionist regime’s cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa if it comes under attack by Israel.
“Every now and then the leaders of the Zionist regime threaten Iran with a military attack,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.
ˈThe Nationˈ reported that Iranˈs Supreme Leader has also said that ˈUS officials time after time have offered one-on-one talksˈ on the sidelines of negotiations with the six world powers.
ˈI am not optimistic about these (direct) talks but I am not opposed to them either,ˈ Ayatollah Khamenei added.
ˈWe believe the Americans are not interested in a nuclear settlement,ˈ Iranˈs Supreme Leader said, adding that US officials would ˈonly want to dictate their own agendaˈ and not listen to Iranˈs positions.
If the US was seeking a solution, Ayatollah Khamenei said, ˈThe Americans should recognize Iran’s right to enrichment.ˈ
Daily ‘Express Tribune’ reported that Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that Iran will ˈannihilateˈ the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa if it comes under attack by the Jewish state.
ˈThey should know that if they commit such a blunder, the Islamic Republic of Iran will annihilate Tel Aviv and Haifa,ˈ he said.

ˈSamaa Tvˈ website reported that Ayatollah Khamenei has warned that the Islamic Republic would destroy the Israeli cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa if its nuclear infrastructure came under Israelˈs attack.
Ayatollah Khamenei, in a televised speech marking the Iranian New Year, said: ˈAt times the officials of the Zionist regime threaten to launch a military invasion, but they themselves know that if they make the slightest mistake, the Islamic Republic will raze Tel Aviv and Haifa to the ground.ˈ
