(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The controversial anti-Islam film Innocence of Muslims is still available on the Russian sector of the Internet, particularly on the social network Vkontakte, despite the federal mass media and telecommunications oversight service Roskomnadzor's recommendation that access to the film be blocked.

In particular, in response to a search query for the film, Vkontakte offers 208 videos, most of them in English, but there are also versions provided with Russian subtitles among them. Most of the videos are 13-14-minute-long promo trailers, but several hits offer the full version of the film.

Roskomnadzor warned communications operators and journalists on Monday evening of their responsibility for circulating Innocence of Muslims if it is officially found to be extremist.

The Prosecutor General's Office said it was determined to seek the prohibition of the circulation of Innocence of Muslims. Deputy Prosecutor General Viktor Grin' officially warned a number of major Internet providers against breaking the law to prevent the film's circulation.
