Iranian MPs of religious minorities slam blaspheming Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Members of Iran's Parliament representing religious minorities in Majlis condemned production of the sacrilegious film blaspheming Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), "which hurt the religious sentiments of all the monotheists".

The MPs added that making the blasphemous film is insult to the divine faiths and sacrilege of Muslims’ sanctities has been an American-Zionist conspiracy.

They said that they believe that the Americans and Zionists are seeking to sow discord among the monotheistic religions - Islam, Christianity.

Jews MP, Siyamak Mara-Sedq said that given numerous commonalities among various faiths, insulting a religion amounts to insulting all the other faiths.

Production of the film has also sparked the hatred of the followers of the other religions towards the US, he noted.

Describing the move as anti-monotheism, ant-religious and anti-human, he said that the imperialism and Zionism have desecrated all the religions by this move.

MP of Armenian community in northern Iran, Karen Khanlari condemned production of the anti-Islam movies, saying that none of the divine faiths; followers will tolerate disrespecting the Islamic sanctities.

The responsibility of the move lies with the US government and the US’ statesmen should apologize to the Muslims, he said.

Describing the release of the anti-Islam film as an idiocy, Khanlari said the measure has been taken to destroy sympathy among the followers of the divine religions but such moves will further consolidate their sympathy.

Meanwhile, MP of Armenian community in southern Iran, Robert Biglariyan denounced making the anti-Islam film and said that the US and the Zionist regime are seeking to sow discord among various divine faiths.

Those behind the production of the anti-Islam film should not expect the Muslims come short of their protests because none of the religions tolerates desecration of sanctities, he said.

The anti-Islam movie has sparked outrage in the Muslim world, leading to massive demonstrations in Egypt and popular protests in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi where the US Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other American embassy staff were killed.
