(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a meeting with President of Guinea-Bissau Raimundo Pereira on Saturday, called for NAM to thwart pressure on independent states by bullying powers.   The Supreme Leader said that NAM, as a major world body, must help prevent exertion of pressure by bullying powers on independent states.

Ayatollah Khamenei said that NAM is capable to broaden all types of cooperation among the member states.

"If NAM member states manage to broaden all-out cooperation within NAM framework, the efforts of bullying powers for exertion of pressure and imposing sanctions on independent states will be thwarted," said Ayatollah Khamenei.

To attain the goal, the ground should be well-prepared, said the Supreme Leader adding that arrogant powers try to insinuate that any resistance to their will is doomed to fail but the NAM member should prove impracticality of their hallucination.

The President of Guinea-Bissau said for his part that his countryis willing to expand broad-based relations and cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
