(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - President Ahmadinejad made the remarks on the sidelines of the 16th NAM Summit in a meeting with Zimbabwe's President Robert Gabriel Mugabe on Thursday.
Describing the two sides' relations as satisfactory, Ahmadinejad said Iran and Zimbabwe should expedite implementation of mutually-inked agreements on expansion of economic cooperation to help deepen political and economic relations between the two countries.
Presence of President Gabriel Mugabe in the NAM summit is regarded as a suitable opportunity for continued negotiations between the two sides' officials on easing trade exchange as well as removing barriers to joint projects, he said.
Referring to the Zimbabwe's presidency of NAM in the past, President Ahmadinejad said the country has enough experience in administering the movement which is a good opportunity for Iran to make use of it.
The Zimbabwean president, for his part said NAM should turn into an effective and influential organization at international level and play its significant role in global developments.
The Islamic Republic of Iran during its chairmanship should draw out new plans to attain the goals of the movement, he said.
