The head of El Salvadorian delegation to 16th NAM summit in Tehran described the summit important and said: “this summit can be a turning point for members of the Movement.”
Pointing to the fact that there are high expectations from Iran to play an active role as an important member of NAM, Ruban Zamora, the head of El Salvador delegation to 16th NAM summit, stated that Tehran summit helps NAM member states to grow in international arena, and to get members’ stances more convergent.
“The authorities of El Salvador tend to get into contact more with Asian nations in general, and Iran in particular, in order to put an end to colonialist policies in the South American countries like El Salvador”, he added.
