(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Special mourning ceremonies were held on the occasion of Arba’een (40th day after Ashura) in Freetown and various parts of Sierra Leon.
According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO), the programs were held from January 13 to 15 in Iran cultural center and mosques of the country.
Iranian ambassador to Sierra Leon hosted Iranians residing in this country at a program on January 12 which was addressed by Hojat-ol-Islam Raqawi, director of Freetown Seminary School.
Another program was held with the presence of Imams of mosques in the country and university students at the Conference Hall of Iran Cultural Center where Mohammad Reza Qezelsofla, Iran cultural attaché in Sierra Leone talked about Imam Hussein’s (AS) uprising and the achievements of Ashura.
Programs on the last decade of Safar Month were held at Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) Mosque, Central Mosque, and mosques of Rasul A’zam (PBUH), Salam, Abuzar, Belal, Tawheed, Rahmat, Al-Hasaneyn and Rasulullah Mosque in various parts of the country.
