(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Commemorating the burials of imam Hussein and his household by the Bani Asad Tribe in Muharram 13, 61 AH, many Iraqi tribes released processions in the holy city of Karbala lasted for 3 hours and a half.The procession began after the Zuhr, Noon prayer Friday 13 Muharram 1433, Dec. 9, 2011 from the Islah district about 2.5 km far from the city center. The procession was heading to the city center then to the Imam Hussein St. to enter the holy shrine of Imam Hussein and then to the Al Abbas Holy Shrine to end there with reciting mourning poems.The procession began with mass women showing their condolences to Lady Fatimah AS. Followed by the mass men with the procession of the Bani Asad with a funeral symbolizing that of Imam Hussein AS to bring into memory the tragedy of the martyrdom and burial of imam Hussein and his holy household and companions. Head of the department of Husseini Ritual and Processions in Iraq and the Islamic world declared to ALkafeel net "this ceremony is considered of the historic ones of the Bani Asad Tribe which includes more than 45 processions of the tribes in Karbala and other cities". He added "this ceremony became an event that is commemorated in annual basis by the Iraqi Tribes to be added to their record of event that have unique meanings of glory and dignity answering the call of Imam Hussein (Is there anyone to help us??)". The holy city of Karbala is witnessing every year many million visits including the visit of Ashura, and many other mass visits. The annual estimates of the visitors reach to fifty million visitors from Iraq and more than 25 countries. The number of visitors increased after the fall of the regime in Apri. 9, 2003.
