(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Saudi-backed Bahraini regime forces in Bahrain have once again attacked peaceful anti-government demonstrators protesting against the slaughter of Bahraini citizens in the ongoing crackdown.
In the latest incident, the regime forces attacked protesters in the northwestern village of Diraz with tear gas on Saturday.
Several people have been injured in the clashes, according to activists.
Meanwhile, mass funeral processions are being held across the Persian Gulf country for Seyyed Saleh al-Hallai, who died on Friday after experiencing complications due to tear gas inhalation one day earlier during a massive anti-regime rally.
Bahrainis also held a funeral procession for Seyyed Jawad Hashem on Friday.
Regime forces fired tear gas canisters into Hashem's home on Monday, and he died on Wednesday night.
Thousands of anti-government protesters have been staging demonstrations in Bahrain since mid-February, demanding political reforms and a constitutional monarchy -- a demand that later changed to an outright call for the ouster of the ruling Al Khalifa family after the crackdown on the popular protests.
Scores of people have been killed and many others injured in the Saudi-backed crackdown on peaceful protesters in Bahrain.
