Islamic Revolution Leader Imam Khamenei reaffirmed Tuesday that current wave of Islamic Awakening in the region is motivated by the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran.

“This Islamic Awakening is motivated by the massive movement of the Iranian nation since the Islamic Revolution was a change that rocked the foundations of atheist regimes and world's hegemonic system,” Imam Khamenei said.

Imam Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with a number of Iranian poets on Monday, Aug 15, on the eve of the birth anniversary of Hadhrat Imam Hasan (A.S.)

“The change turned the Iranian nation into an exemplary model for other nations,” the IR Leader added. Imam Khamenei urged the Iranian poets to grasp the situation and hold fast to the mottos of the Islamic Revolution.

Imam Khamenei said the contemporary Iranian poetry was the primary vehicle for conveying and presenting the discourse and values of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
