(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - International Committee for Global March towards Jerusalem Chairman Feroze Mittiborwala has announced to hold a global march towards Jerusalem in March 2012 to foil the Israeli conspiracies against the holy Jerusalem.
He was addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club along with the leaders of Palestine Foundation Pakistan Qazi Ahmed Noorani Siddiqui, Muzaffar Ahmed Hashmi, Maulana Sadiq Raza Taqvi and PLF spokesman Sabir Karbalai.
Indian national Feroze Mittiborwala paid rich tributes to Quaid-e-Azam and said Jinnah was the great revolutionary leader saying that he raised the voice for the oppressed people of Palestine in 1923.He said Jinnah had established a committee to collect the funds for Palestinians in 1923 and to condemn the Israeli brutalities and illegal occupation on Palestine.
Mittiborwala informed that the basic object of his march towards Jerusalem is to get the support of the people from across the world for the Palestinians and express solidarity with the Holy city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem). “This is the movement of Asian people in support of oppressed people of Palestine,” he added.
He said that defence of Palestine was the defence of Pakistan saying that it is necessary to protect and support the Palestinians to protect all the humanity from the evil conspiracies of Zionist regime Israel.
“We will unite all the communities including Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Sikhs and Jews to participate in the march towards the Jerusalem.” He announced that the people from different continents including South Asia, Africa, Latin America, Europe and Australia would march towards the Jerusalem from their continents to Jerusalem on March 2012.
He said that the Asian caravan would start the march from India to Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Syria, Jordan and then Jerusalem and then the second caravan starts from London to France, Italy, Turkey, Syrian and then Jerusalem.
“The African caravan will start the march from Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, and then Jerusalem and after passing through designated routes the Australian caravan will enter the Jerusalem from Lebanon,” he added.
Mittiborwala said that this caravan was the efforts of Asian people to support the Palestinian cause saying that 190 delegates from across the world would be the part of the delegation to enter the Jerusalem.
He appealed to the Pakistani people, political and religious parties, civil society and government of Pakistan to support the initiative of Asian caravan for the support of people of Palestine.
He greeted the Pakistani nation on the Independence Day of the country and also thanked the Palestine foundation Pakistan for organising the events on Palestine in Pakistan.
