(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - According to the report, which is based on data from the country’s Statistics Authority, Muhammad is the most popular name for boys while Fatimah (name of holy Prophet’s (PBUH) beloved daughter) comes as the top female name in Qatar.
There are 14470 individuals in Qatar whose name is Muhammad. Abdullah (name of holy Prophet’s (PBUH) father and son) (8878), Ali (6507), Hamd (5937), and Ahmed (4640) come second to fifth in order of popularity as names for boys. Other popular male names are Khalid (3958), Nassir (3428), Abdurrahman (3340), Rashid (3329) and Abdulaziz (3127).
As for names for girls, after Fatemeh (6420), the most favorite names are Maryam (6311), Nurah (6249), Ayisha (4359), Sarah (3372), Sheikha (2964), Hiyah (2048), Muzah (1899), Hissah (1881) and Al-Unud (1803).
