(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A US-led soldier has been killed in a bomb explosion in southern Afghanistan as foreign forces encounter a climbing number of deadly attacks in the war-ravaged country.

NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) announced in a statement on Wednesday that the soldier died from wounds received from an improvised explosive device attack.

NATO says the soldier died on Tuesday, Associated Press reported.

It did not, however, reveal the nationality of the dead soldier.

At least 190 US-led soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan in 2011.

As the US-led force death toll persistently climbs in Afghanistan, public opinion in the United States and other Western countries is increasingly turning against the Afghan war.
