(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Iranian grand shia cleric, Hussein Nouri Hamedani called for establishing Islamic military NATO for protecting Muslims against attacks by outsiders.
Visiting Iran Flotilla to Bahrain, Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani said,” we hope that Islamic NATO will be founded in the near future.”
The Grand Ayatollah underlined that by founding this power, Muslims would be able to protect themselves and stand against any cruelty and human rights violation.
“Why Muslims with their large population do not have a united power and cohesive strength,” Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani asked.
“For many years, local and internatioal arrogants deceived Muslims and kept them negligent with different chicaneries,” said the Grand Ayatollah stating that these days Muslims observe Islamic awakening in Islamic world.
He pointed to the duty of Muslims at this juncture and said ,” Muslims should be cognizant of all the events happening in the world.”
“Those who are indifferent and negligent toward events happening around themselves are not Muslims,” the Grand Ayatollah added.
