Yemeni revolutionaries took over the control of several government buildings on Wednesday (today), including a police station, in the southern city of Taizz.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - According to eyewitness accounts , pro-democracy protesters opposed to the dictatorial regime of Ali Abdollah Saleh, today took control of the oil ministry offices, municipal and local council offices, as well as a police station in the southern city of Taizz.

Meanwhile, a high-ranking Yemeni security official has threatened to “shoot the protesters”, if they continue with their anti-government protests.

The pro-democracy protesters , meanwhile, blocked all main roads and highways in the city of Taizz on Wednesday, and called for immediate stepping down of Yemen’s president , Ali Abdollah Saleh.

Also a protester was injured on Wednesday , when Yemeni police and security forces fired live rounds at the protesters near the education ministry building in Taizz.
