The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) released a 16-year-old Palestinian child after 55 days in custody after his lawyer appealed for his release due to his cancer condition.

RAMALLAH (Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) released a 16-year-old Palestinian child after 55 days in custody after his lawyer appealed for his release due to his cancer condition.

Palestinian human rights sources said that the IOA released Mustafa Abdulwahab from Ramallah village of Abwin on Monday after an appeal by his lawyer Tarek Barghut citing deterioration of the child's health condition while in detention.

The child's case is one of hundred similar ones in IOA detention suffering chronic and serious diseases while deprived of appropriate medical treatment and denied release due to health condition.

Tens of other Palestinian prisoners are held in solitary confinement while stripped of simplest human rights.
