He said Pope the Benedict has tried to unite western and eastern churches, so, shouldn’t we Muslims who follow the right path, grasp the string of God? Shouldn't we follow the foot hole of the Holy prophet (Mohammad)?
The Syrian official also has lauded the late father of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini and said the Islamic Republic of Iran led by Ayatollah Rouhollah Khomeini has shown us the way to Muslim Ummah.
He said Imam Khomeini is the leader of Islamic movements.
"He was the one who have raised a revolution which became known to the world, a revolution that is shining like a torch all across Muslim world," Soleimani said.
He said Imam has introduced "political fiqh" in Muslim world. His approach was not limited to Iran, but he had the whole world of Islam in mind.
"The leader's stance brought effective results in world Islam and the west, and now we see how nations admitted the late leader's proclamation," he said.
