Abu Rayan was sentenced to 40 years in prison on allegations of his attempt to kill two Israeli soldiers in Kfar Saba settlement. His home was also demolished by the Israeli occupation forces.
Director of the center Ra'fat Hamdouna said that the issue of this prisoner is similar to the issue of about 700 Gazan detainees who are deprived from seeing their families.
Hamdouna stated that preventing prisoners from seeing their families is against human rights and the fourth Geneva convention which stipulate the right of detainees to be visited under any circumstances.
The human rights activist appealed to the Red Cross to work on ensuring that all Palestinian families can see their sons and daughters in Israeli jails.
