Israel's continuous aggression against the Palestinian people and its attempts to tarnish the Arabic, Islamic and Christian identity of the sacred city are clear violations of the international law, he said in a statement.
He said the Israeli acts were derailing all efforts to reach a comprehensive and just peace in the Middle East.
Al-Attiyah reiterated support to the Palestinian cause including the right of the Palestinians to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
