(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Salehi who had earlier in the day met and conferred with top Iraqi officials, at the end of his diplomatic mission rushed to pay a pilgrimage of two Shi'a Imams' shines.
After performing his pilgrimage rituals, Salehi was briefed by the shrine manager of the development moves made in an around the holy place.
In his note written after the pilgrimage we read, 'I thank the Almighty Allah for having granted me this opportunity to visit this sacred land where I once lived. I would never forget the sweet memory of the days I used to go to Okhowwat Primary School in Kazemain, or the days when I used to carry the flag marked with the sacred name of Hazrat (Saint) Abolfazl al-Abbas (P) at the courtyard of this holy shrine on the 9th and the 10th days of Moharram month, Tasou'aa and Ashoura of Imam Hussain (P).
'Oh my God, what a fate; your way of arranging the events of one's lifetime makes one remain quite amazed, astounded and short of words to express oneself. The two great Iranian and Iraqi nations have been intermingled from time immemorial in the past and would remain so till the end of the time through the ups and downs of the history, but only their relations would keep on getting stronger with the passage of time.
'I hope to see a day when the citizens of the two countries would be able of frequenting between the two countries needless of acquiring visas, as the Supreme Leader of the Revolution has willed.'
